Our baby is growing so FAST!!

Wesley is now 8 1/2 months; time has been flying by for us. I have not posted in forever and thought I should update. Dave is almost done with his first year of dental school. It keeps him very busy but he has made many GREAT new friends. We love getting together with the families. The dental wives try to get together at least once a month for playdates which has been a lot of fun for me and the boys. I have met many wonderful ladies!! I am able to stay home with the boys for now and am enjoying every minute of it!! Luke is 2 1/2 now and is completely potty trained. His vocabulary is growing daily and surprising me with all the new words. He loves doing puzzles and can completely put together his 24 piece puzzles all by himself. He loves playing outside and being with other kids. Wesley is getting so big so fast, it is hard to believe he is almost 9 months already!! He is crawling, standing up (so long as he is holding on to something), and loves to walk if you hold his hands. Dada was his first word at 6 months but he now says Mom, mom, or momma all day long. I can't complain because it melts my heart in the morning when I hear him calling for me. He is a happy little boy, always smiling for everyone. He is a little lover and loves to gives hugs. He loves to babble all day long and can be very loud, especially at church. Wesley is big enough now that Luke can play with him. Luke is always making Wes laugh. It is to funny to watch Luke try to pick up Wes, there is only a 7 lbs difference between the two. Luke will say, "Wes too heavy." We are doing well and have been very blessed.

Wesley Blake Jolley joined our family on Tuesday November 16, 2010. He weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. We our so excited to have this sweet little boy here. Luke is adjusting but still gets very jealous when I have to hold Wesley to feed him. Luke tells me to put Wesley in his swing so that he can sit on my lap. When I am breastfeeding Luke thinks he needs to be in my lap too. I love my two boys so much and am so thankful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with them.

Dave is so proud of his two boys!!

Luke loves to help feed his brother, but he likes to only keep the bottle in for a second and pull it out and put it back in. I don't think Wesley appreciates that to much.

Luke turned 10 months on Halloween! I was going to dress him as Handy Manny, but Dave and some friends thought Luke would look really cute as a Garden Gnome. So here he is, our little garden gnome! My mom made his costume. He was really good with wearing the hat and beard all night at our Trunk or Treat! He was so interested in all the people that he forgot all about his hat! We had a great night, hot dogs, cotton candy, and more candy!!

I let Luke have half a piece of an orange tootsie roll, he got so hyper! He was giggling and walking and crawling everywhere. He did not go to bed that night until 11 pm. No more candy until he is a lot older!! lol!

For work on Thursday Oct. 29, we had to dress up for Halloween. All the costumes had to be biker themed, so here we are! We decided to wear them to the Trunk or Teat on Halloween! No one recognized Dave until they heard his voice. He grew his goatee out for 4 weeks. The next morning he shaved it all off.

Today Luke had a play date with his friend Conor. Conor is 11 days older than Luke. They had so much fun!! They shared snacks, wrestled over toys, and had fun climbing on the furniture. Luke was so tired when we left, he took a 2 hour nap. Conor's mom is Chrissy, she went to high school with my sister and I went to high school with her brother. We had so much fun today, Thank you Chrissy and Conor!!

Our little boy is growing so fast. I can not believe he is 9 months. He makes each and every day so much brighter. I love every moment that I get to be with him. I am only working 2 days a week (mon and wed) doing hygiene, which has been so nice!!

-Luke is 27 inches tall and 17.7 lbs.

- Luke is walking everywhere so long as he can have at least one hand on something, if he does not have something to hold onto he plops down and crawls. He has been doing this for the past 2 1/2 months.

- He has 3 teeth, his 2 lower centrals and his upper left lateral, he is our little jack-o-lantern, so cute!

- He knows how to say mama and dada clear. He talks all the time with his baby talk, he loves to sing in Primary with the children and in Sacrament, the only bad thing is that he is often the loudest, at first I thought is was so funny, but now I have to slip out to the hallway because he distracts all the kids. I was released as Primary Secretary 2 months ago and now teach the CTR 6 class. All the kids love Luke and fight over who gets to sit by him.

- He is a good eater, he loves his sweet potatoes and all fruits, he eats salad like a champ, he loves to eat whatever his mommy and daddy are eating. Cheerioes have been a fun snack he is so cute picking them up with his fingers.

-I put baby signing time and baby einstein on for Luke, but he wants nothing to do with them. He does not like to watch tv. He would much rather be exploring or figuring out how things work. He likes the music and will start dancing and shaking his tush but that is it.

Luke is now 6 months old. He is so fun!! I can not get enough of his big smiles and cute laughter. He is almost crawling, he can do the army crawl very well. He loves to walk holding your hands. He loves people and especially other children.

He is sporting his first pair of "Chucks" thanks to cousin Gage, We love them!! We get so many compliments.

Luke loves to go swimming he gets so mad when you take him out of the water.

I thought he just looked so cute in this picture, he had a very full diaper. We were over at our friends house (the Coronado's) for the 4th of July. We had a great time, we barbecued and then did some fire works. Luke did not like the loud whistling fountains, but he did like the lights.

We had our Jolley Family Reunion June 21st-24th up at a huge cabin in Paragonah Utah. We had so much fun! We brought 4-wheelers, we sot skeet with 12 and 20 guage sot guns, horseshoes, water balloon launcher and great food! There were a total of 22 of us. Luke was so happy to see grandma and grandpa Jolley, this was the fist time since the day he was born. We miss seeing them! Hopefully one day soon they will be able to move closer.
After we got back from the reunion I left the next day to fly up to Washington to see my Grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I miss not having my grandma closer, but thanks to Allegiant airlines we found a great deal. I was able to have some delicious Washington cherries. I brought some home for Dave. We had a great time! I am so glad we were able yo visit you Melanie, thanks for the cherries! So now we are back in Vegas sweating like crazy with this horrible 106+ temp.

A Little Summer Fun

We took a little overnight trip to California and while we were there we wanted to visit the ocean. The weather was beautiful and the temperature was perfect. Luke loved the water even though it was freezing. I wish I could live on the beach. I would love to be able to go walking or jogging every morning on the beach. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to live in Cali.

This is what happens when you go to take a shower and leave dad in charge of watching the baby. We were at the hotel, Dave saw Luke with the bag of cheetos and realized he like the sound of the crinkle, he did not think it would go any further than Luke playing with the top of the bag.

After a few minutes, Dave looked back to see what Luke was doing and this is what he found! Luke was having a hay day and had crumbs all over his face and the bed, but what was worse was that the cheetos are the new ones with jalopeno, WHOOPS! He still loved them, no crying!

I felt so bad for the maid who had to find this lovely mess on the bed!

Luke loves bath time and for me it is easier to do it in the Kitchen sink, he just fits so well and it does not kill my back.

I have not posted Luke's 5 month photo because the poor guy has really bad eczema and he has very dry skin all over his body, so I was trying to wait until his skin looks a little better.

Luke is now four months and so dang cute!! He is now rolling completely over both ways and even does double rolls. He loves to sit up and stand up. He is giggling all the time and such a sweet baby. He loves to snuggle and give open mouth kisses. He loves all of his cousins and loves their attention. He no longer looks like a baby he looks like a little boy. We love our little man so much, I just can not get enough of him.

Luke's hair is really long and will not stay down or do anything but stand up, so today he had his first haircut by his aunt Ana (my sister). He did so good, he was talking the entire time and smiling. We took before, during, and after pictures.

I made Luke his first Easter basket but the treats were more for mom and dad. His shorts and flip flops are too cute. He has just started to giggle and is starting to roll over from his back to his side. He is sucking on everything his hands, blankets, toys, and drooling like crazy.

We just went to Luke's 3 month well visit with Dr. Conti. Luke weighs 13 lbs 8 oz and is 24 inches long. He is so cute, he is now smiling all the time. He giggles and coo's. He is just too much fun. I hate leaving him for work, but I cherish every moment that I have with him. He is now able to sit up in his bumbo. He still has all of his hair, no bald spot yet. He is constantly moving his head back and forth and rubbing, but his hair has stayed. It is now to long to stay up in a foe hawk, he is going to need his first haircut real soon.

Luke was holding his dad's ears, it was so funny, but every time I took a picture he would move his hands.

Luke is now 10 weeks so I am late with the post. The bottom picture was just before his baby blessing at church on march 1st, we waited so that some friends of our could bless their baby on the same day in our ward, they are from Arizona but their family is here. He did really good, no crying. I need to get some more professional pics done or get a better camera. He has started to sleep through the nights so that has been a blessing, but at night he is fussy (colichy) so I feel so bad for him. We are having so much fun with our little boy. I enjoy every second that I have with him, especially since I have had to go back to work. Luckily I have a great sister-in-law who watches him, so that makes me feel better. I know he is safe and loved. Her kids love to hold and feed him in the morning before school.

Luke now weighs 11 lbs and is 22 inches long. Everyone can not believe the amount of hair he has. I try to give him a foe hawk, he is already going to need his first hair cut and he is only 8 weeks. Luke has been so much fun, I go back to work next Monday and am so sad to leave my son. All I can hope is that he will be sleeping through the night very soon or he will have one grouchy mom.

Today Luke is 2 weeks old. He has already grown so much and his looks are changing. We are so blessed to have this bundle of joy in our lives. I am trying to get used to the mommy schedule of feedings every 2-3 hours and being up many times during the night. I am feeling much better since the delivery and am so happy to have our little boy at home. We love you sooooo much Luke!! I am so thankful for my husband and all his help!! Dave is so cute with our son, he is such an amazing father!!

Bed Rest!

NO BABY YET!! So almost two weeks ago my doctor pulled the plug on me being able to work, he placed me on bed rest due to early labor, contractions, and edema in my legs and feet! He put me on Tributaline a medication to stop my contractions, he wants me to wait until I am at least 37 weeks before having this baby,which I understand, we want his lungs to be fully developed. I go back to see my doctor on Monday, so I am hoping he will let me stop taking the medication this week since it will be my 37th week and maybe I will go into labor. I have another ultrasound on Monday also, so hopefully everything will be good. I am getting really bored being home all the time, I would rather spend it home with a new baby than by myself. I have taken a few strolls out because tv just gets to boring!!

Possible New Due Date!!

I went to see my OB on Monday for a new ultrasound, because at my last visit I was measuring over 2 1/2 weeks bigger. The ultrasound went well, our little boy is already over 4 lbs and measuring bigger. The ultrasound was giving measurements that are 3 weeks earlier than my original due date, so now we may be having a Christmas baby. The new date is December 23, 2008. I was very excited, especially now with all the lower back pain, 3 weeks earlier would be a blessing so long as the baby is healthy and ready to come out. I do not have gestational diabetes, pre-clampsia, or toxemia (thank heavens) which can cause the baby or myself to be measuring larger, so I am hoping this baby will be born this year!! I will post the recent ultrasound pics once I scan them into the computer.

On Wednesday the two offices I work for had a combined baby shower for me (and Dave). I work upstairs with Dr. Blasco's office mon-thurs doing hygiene, and one Friday a month downstairs at Dr. Truman's doing ortho assist, Dave also works for Dr. Truman. They did an amazing job. The food was delicious, the company was great, and we can not thank them enough for the wonderful gifts they gave us. We were so excited looking at the gifts at home, I already put together my travel system and started washing the cute clothes. Thank you all for your kindness and love!!

Ultrasound Pictures of our Baby Boy!!

Last Thursday the 14th of August we went to the doctors office for my BIG ultrasound, the one where we get to find out the sex and check out all the parts of the baby. Everything looked great. Heart beat was 154 bpm, four chamber heart, spine looked good, both our tummies were full of fluids, the ultrasound tech said it was a textbook case. Hooray!! The first picture to pop up on the screen when the ultrasound tech put the wand on my stomach was his BOY part!! You can imagine how excited we were!! Dave started texting right away to everyone! I don't think he saw much of the other photo shots until they were printed after the appointment.

Another shot of his manhood! The next pictures are my favorite, I love baby hands and feet!! He had his hands in front of his face. I love looking at his little toes!! I can not wait to see him!!

I am finally over my morning sickness (NIGHT SICKNESS!!) and have been feeling much better. I am showing now, which makes me feel better, for a while there you just feel like you look fat. This week will put us at 20 weeks, so I guess you can say I am half way there! We are so excited and blessed, I can not thank my heavenly father enough for this opportunity. Dave has been so amazing, he is so loving, he is always rubbing my belly and it puts the biggest smile on my face!! I love him so much and know he will be an amazing father!! He is my best friend and eternal companion.

I took a trip up to the mountains last weekend so I could recoup from city life and get my fill of nature. I enjoyed the cool breeze, the crisp mountain air, and the vibrant foliage. Naturally, I felt like I wanted to take some of this home with me, so I decided to take some snapshots of things that caught my eye. As I went along the path I was intrigued by the color of a certain tree's leaves with red stems. I climbed up a branch or two and got in position to take a picture when suddenly a large fly landed on the leaf in focus, with a peculiar little man riding it. I quickly took a picture, so I could prove that what I saw was real, and then tried to catch the large fly and small man riding it. The thought soon entered into my mind "I could make my fortune!". I could sell them to the circus!!! It took a couple minutes, but I finally succeeded in catching the little buggers. My plan would have worked, but the little man was more stink-bug than human. As soon as I had him in my grasp his defense mechanism kicked in, which was to flatulate unceasingly. After several whifs of this pungeant smell I was abliged to release him back to his native habitat and to his fly escort........ Here is proof of the incident!!!

As I continued to ponder what I saw, I couldn't help but question "Was I at a high enough of an altitude to give me altitude sickness and hallucinations..?" "Or could it have been the funny little berries I found and ate as I was on the trail?" Finally the answer popped into my head.. This was no hallucination nor dream!! This was real!!! Gal-darn it how could I be so forgetful!!! I just proved the legend of the TOOT-FAIRY!!!! The toot fairy rides his fly into your bedroom at night and releases an unmistakable odor in your bedroom. Sometimes he is so sneaky, he can even get under your bed sheets, so he can prolong his magic, and when your wife least expects she turns over in the bed and the great trapped odor is rushes into your her face, which results in immediate smack that knocks you out of your deep sleep. Yes, he has no remorse!! His main target is the elderly... at any moment, during any occasion, he is able to exert his power on them!!! He attacks them so often that they dont even realize what they have done!!! I and many other grandchildren can attest to this!!!

We had an episode where our toilet backed up and threatened to flood if we used it. Here are some toilet edicut guidelines to help you prevent an unwanted clog:

We figured we would be sly about the whole problem. I would pee off of our second story patio since I have the luxury of being able to aim, and Megan would pee into a cup and dump it down the kitchen sink (since all girls pee smells like raspberries anyway). Everything went well. I feel that it is very liberating to pee in the open!! Pigeons make excellent targets!! However, the down side is that Megan gets in a hurry and forgets to dump her cup into the sink. This has been very confuzing for me.

I drink apple juice every morning, and the consistency of the juice in my cup and hers' seems to be the exact same, so if I set my cup down I am not sure what I am picking up. Which one do I choose!! My nose is bad when it comes down to smelling from the many traumas it has faced. Finally, I got tired of this so I went to the store and picked some little urine detector sticks. I simply dip the stick into the cup and it indicates if it is juice or not. I personally think they are defective. Every time I dip them in Megans cup they do the following:

I dont know what this means...., but I did have a very strange dream where a tadpole turned into a frog and spoke to me:

He left a warning, that a strange and mysterious stork was going to visit me and leave me something that was going to deprive me of much sleep:

Late Night Flipper

I made this little guy late sunday night because it was due Monday. It is called a "Flipper" because it is a type of temporary partial that you just slap on when you want it on or take it off when you dont want it. This is the first time I have ever made one, but it turned out fine. I was very surprised and happy with the little tooth I made also.

Camping

Meg and I wanted to go camping, so we got together with some friends that we met years ago in the singles ward who are now married. Their names are Sarah and Nate Ringer. We left a little late and attempted to be as prepared as we could but we fell short on a couple of things. Mostly the things we left were the ones that dealt with eating. Oops!! We had to compromise some , but we made it work and really enjoyed the time outdoors with our friends.

The fire.. notice that we made a custom charcoal area to cook our dinner because the little propane grill we took did not work. We used the rack to cover the coals and the top to conserve heat.

It seems that it is not out of character to manage to get some type of food on my face when taking pictures after eating things like marshmallows and cupcakes.......

After the marshmallow apetizer and an hour long cook time the tin foil dinners were ready

The next morning.... the tired looks, messy hair, and every person huddled around the fire aspect gives it away....

Once again we had to make a make shift cooking area with what wood we had remaining. It turned out really well... and we even enjoyed the mountain pepper in our food.

Someone forggot the plates.... but we had tinfoil and paper towels so Nate who is currently in a sculpting class made some designer plates for us......

We did a little off roading on the way home.... here it is!!!

Ahoye Land Lovers!!! Trunk or Treat was visited this years by some darn good looking pirates who traded their boat for an Nissan Xterra loaded with green cob webs and a black light with some sweet skulls and other scary items. Those who visited us discovered the goodness of candy and hot chocolate spiked with Andes mints. Ohhhh the evil of it all, getting young and old folk hopped up on Andes mints.. we are so sneaky!!! They scarry music that we played gave it a good effect also. I have some new friends as you will see who's heads are quite small and prune like...... Grrrrrrrr!!!!! We carved a cat devil pumpkin that had flashing red eyes also.

I was called as the executive ward secretary, but I wanted to stay with my class in primary, so they let me be the "permanent sub". The kids are happy. I have taught them that if we are focused and participate during the lesson, we will be able to have time at the end of class for some type of activity. AFTER A BIG TEST, WE CRUISE UP TO RYAN'S HOUSE TO RIDE ... ON THE WAY WE SPOT A SKUNK AND I WANT SOME PICTURES.. IJUMP OFF THE ATV AND CHASE THE LITTLE STINKER.. THESE ARE THE SHOTS FROM MY PHONE...

THE LITTLE BUGGER GOES INTO THE BUSHES AND I FOLLOW....
WHEN.... I STEP ONTO SOME ROCKS AND TURN MY (RIGHT) ANKLE ... AGAIN... THE THIRD TIME IN THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS... I SHREEK LIKE A LITTLE GIRL AND THE SKUNK RUNS IN RYANS DIRECTION (WHICH WAS COMING TO SAVE ME BUT ENDS UP FLEEING FROM THE SKUNK) SO I WAS LEFT ALONE...NO JOKE! It seems that SOMEONE has been living a secret life....and is being accused of using the 10-40W oil not solely for the car but to grease himself up so he can get an even colored tan. He has also been caught in the act of crushing coke cans with his buttocks. It seems that his sons have aquired the same crushing ability, but his daughters refrain from commenting as to their abilities......

We discovered that we could fill our Sweet and Salty movie cravings all at once with a mix of Jolleytime "Mallow" popcorn & Kettlecorn. We pop them and combine both flavors together. It is the best popcorn creation we have ever tasted!!! We recommend it to all!!!

MEET "KITTY" THE DEVIL SIAMESE CAT

This is the cutest devil cat you will ever encounter. One moment it is purring and rubbing against you, and the next she is using you as a scratching and biting post. She plays exactly as "Little Tom" used to play. You want to kill her, but then she makes you laugh. She is safe for now until her next stunt!
